Exhibition at the museum’s art gallery shown July - October 2007.

View hand selected photographs of the many impressive Garibaldi statues located around the world. Recognized as a hero in many different countries, stately and unique statues of Garibaldi still stand in France, Argentina, Uruguay, Russia, Switzerland, Italy, and the U.S. today.
This exhibition celebrates the 200th anniversary of Giuseppe Garibaldi, born July 4th 1804.

Left: Montevideo Uruguay: In 1842, Garibaldi took command of the Uruguayan fleet and raised an "Italian Legion" for that country's war with the Argentine dictator, Juan Manuel de Rosas.
